This tool selects from 250 country entries covering sovereign nations, observer states, and dependent territories. Every entry carries identical probability. The country name is served in your selected language directly from the database. The flag is generated from the ISO 3166-1 alpha-2 code using Unicode Regional Indicator Symbols, rendered by your device\xE2\x80\x99s native emoji font.

Flags as Unicode

Country flags in Unicode are pairs of Regional Indicator Symbols. The code "JP" becomes U+1F1EF U+1F1F5, rendered as the Japanese flag on Apple, Google, and Samsung devices. On some Windows configurations, flags display as two-letter codes instead of graphical flags. The country name and continent always display correctly regardless of platform.
